About the Job
The Commis Chef (Hot & Cold Kitchen) supports the culinary team in preparing high-quality dishes for guests while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards. The role involves working in both hot and cold kitchen sections, assisting senior chefs, and ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to the hotel’s recipes and presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of hot and cold dishes according to recipes and hotel standards.
- Prepare ingredients including chopping, marinating, and portioning food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and workstations.
- Ensure proper food storage and follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Support senior chefs during busy service periods.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors about shortages.
- Maintain consistent quality and presentation of all food items.
